Mercy Robinson's senior photos

I knew Mercy since two years ago. She was one of the first friend I have here in Thailand. Her dad is an American and her mom is a Vietnamese. They have been here in Thailand for quite a long time, I just personally love the Robinson's family. Well, I had the privilege of taking Mercy's senior pictures. Mercy herself is an excellent photographer. For a girl her age, she is very talented and I am really blessed that she chose me do a photoshoot with her. The shoots was so much fun!! She really knew how to pose in front of the camera, though she said that this is the first time that she is in front of the camera. We did it right before sunset and it was at the train station. Really reflects her character! Boots, violin, rocks, old houses... just perfect. I absolutely love the result!

Dui and Air Wedding day

They are finally married. It was very beautiful and probably one of the most amazing wedding I have been to because everything was done in the sign language. Dui and Air both looks really stunning and happy. I am super blessed to be a part of their wedding day. The whole church was helping even from the day before. It was amazing to see how the body of Christ work together to bless this couple. Here is some highlight from their wedding day.

The Gambil Family Photoshoot

So... this situation doesn't come to often, but I am really happy when it does. This family found me online, liked my work and contacted me. Well I am so glad they did, this family is just beautiful. Their kids are super cute and we had a lot of fun during the photo shoot. Family photo shoot is always a challenge for me, because one kid will do this while the other wants to do that. It is sometimes really hard to get them to corporate especially when they are pretty young. But I think the key is to communicate with them and get to know them. Kids are not going to listen to a stranger, smile, and talk with them. Well, the Gambil kids did really well, especially with the very warm weather and the dusty set we had. We had a great time!
Here's the highlight :)

"G" for Gambil :)

Dui and Air Engagement

This couple is very special to me. They both attends our church here in Thailand and they both deaf. But no one can hide their love for God and for each other. We had a ton of fun shooting their engagement pictures. It was a new challenge for sure, but I had a great fun doing it. It involves 4 other photographers and 2 helpers. It was intense! Here are some of the result. Hope you like it!

hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)
and here is the picture of us trying to get the best angle.

haha
cheers!

Ark's Graduation

Some of you have probably seen these pictures on my Facebook page, but I just want to make a blog entry about this one, because I really want to share the experience with all of you. Thailand take their graduation day very seriously. The diplomas are handed to the graduates by the prince/princess themselves! How awesome is that! It just shows how they value their education system here, the students have to practiced for many days before "the day" of graduation. And it is the time where family members and friends come to the university, take pictures together and giving gifts. I mean, during this time, thousands (literally) of people filled the front entrance of Chiang Mai university. Flowers and stuffed animal's vendor was everywhere.
Crazier thing: graduates would hire a photographer for themselves and spent a ton of money on that. I mean, this is a serious business. Can you imagine if there are over 1,500 graduates, then there will be over 1,500 photographers in the city being hired. (mind blowing!)
Anyways, one of my very good friend, Ark is one of the lucky few who got to graduated with a high GPA this year. This dude is just smart, and I am a lucky few who get to he his friend. haha He goes to the same church with me, in fact, he is the son of the pastor of which church I am working at. So we have been involved in leading the youths and doing a lot of activities together. He is an awesome guy who loves the Lord and who works very hard. I am so happy that he graduated and that I get to be a part of his important day. Going around the campus and followed him to take his pictures was a great opportunity for me to observe and see how graduation is done in this culture. Though my shoulders are very sore the next day, I still had a ton of fun taking his pictures and observed how graduation is viewed and done in this culture.

Now enjoy some of the shots, and let me know what do you think. :)

Ben, Kiesha and Tele

Whoa! I just realize that my last entry was a year ago! This is bad! Well, life has taken me to another direction that cause me to not faithfully keeping up with this website. So, I am sorry, I will try my best to be diligent.
Now that I am back in Thailand, I am getting back on my feet to take more pictures again. I went through this phase of life where I don't really have the time anymore to take pictures, work, transition, work and more transitions. But now I am back on my feet and ready to continue this passion of mine.
Well it started of with a message from Kiesha saying that she would like to get her family pictures taken. I took their family pictures before. At that time, Kiesha was still pregnant with Tele. And now she is pregnant with her second child and Tele is almost 2 years old. Man! How time flies!
Ben and Kiesha are just such an awesome couple, I enjoy them so much. They are very genuine and real. Even when I took their pictures, they just do their thing and let me capture the real them. Ah I love it! Well here is some previews, this was taken at Mandarin Dhara Dhevi Hotel in Chiang Mai on Christmas Eve. Such a gorgeous hotel and couple.

Enjoy!
